This time we played our rematch with Storm, because last time we lost by only one point. Storm is the only team in the league who has more points than our and in this season is definitely our hardest opponent. The game was quite demanding and not really easy going. In the result we unfortunately lost by nine points. Still, if two last games will be more fortunate for us we can make our way to the finals. Our position has not dropped, we are still the runner-up team in the tables.

One more I went into drawing birds and once more I did it on a request of my friend. My latest drawing presents a crane. It is drawn on the basis of a photo found somewhere on the internet. I have to say that I like when people ask me: “oh can you please draw something?” and then they give you an idea. It helps to avoid drawing the same things all the time, because there is always something new. As usually I used a pencil and charcoal, but this time brown and silver ones.

Together with two other volunteers we had a job to combine different sheets into volunteering contracts. Again it’s all about the small jobs, so you can enable other people focus on the major ones. What we need to understand is, that even minor things or gestures help. Even thought our job was a bit mundane, we had plenty of time to talk. It also creates the opportunity to meet and get to know other people. Apart from giving good from yourself, you can also gain good from others. The knowledge that new volunteers will be signing the contracts you put together also gives the satisfaction that you have this minor input in their joining up.

This time we had to play with last season champions, Lynx. But, as I said in previous post, our power is in the team. Lacking only one person, nine people were present. Thanks to that we had a lot people for changes, so every girl had her time to rest and come back energised to the game. Adding to that great cooperation of the team, we managed to beat the winners. After the match we ended with the biggest amount of points in the league and the second place, because of one lost game with Storm, who leads the stats. I have to say that I am proud of our team, because the points difference was quite big, 22 points, so you may say that it wasn’t as nervous as last time. Apart from basketball trainings twice a week and playing in the Girls League I attend PE lessons at school. We usually play different team games and go to the school gym.

Next piece to the collection of human faces is picture of a woman, but she has short hair and maybe not at once seems to be a female. Still the length of hair is not the only thing you use to distinguish sexes. As in the two previous illustrations I also wanted this one to be lacking colour, except for eyes obviously. The viewer must be forced to look her into blue eyes. But this time they are lighter than in the first image. I also gave her two small black earrings. Her facial features are also lighter to underline the fact that she is a female. Obviously I used coal and pencil.

This time I was to clean and disinfect the wall with drawings to colour for kids. Then I had to change the pictures, because the older ones were already used. On my way to the foundation bureau I went next to this wall and I instantly noticed my own drawing with the snowmen coloured. This is what I mean when I say this work is rewarding. It is a great feeling to see that kids became interested in your picture and maybe by it their time has been a little better. Maybe they had at least a little fun colouring it. Also you see some output of the work you did, that it really did something, that you really did something.

During winter holidays I went with my cousins and a friend to Slovenia. We were skiing and snowboarding. Sometimes we were also going to the pool in the evenings. Most of the time I was riding a snowboard, skiing I went only on three days. As I did in Bieszczady I focused on practicing some tricks, with the difference that there were some snow parks, so we didn’t have to build ramps on our own. Again I tried to do different types of grabs. Also I wanted to investigate my own possibilities on pipes and boxes. Snow park is also a good place if you want to cross some barriers of fear by jumping from higher and higher ramps. The greatest feeling during the ride is when you’re in the air “flying” and free. However the satisfaction comes with good landing.

As I have said in previous post, lately I am focused on practicing the technique of drawing human faces. This image portraits a man. Once again I used coal and pencil in this work. I needed to make the picture colourless except one element. For his eyes I used brown crayon, because I wanted them to be calm and balanced. This time I didn’t want them to be too bright. Still the viewer is to look him into eyes. I gave him three piercings, I just thought they would match and make the image “more interesting”. I wanted him to look natural, so his hair are in a bit of a disarray. Apart from that he has a tattoo of Buddhist symbol of infinity. This is a suggestion that he may be a Buddhist or maybe the symbol has some special meaning to him.
